The Last Pictures with my Leica

For a while now I've been using two Leica M10's for my work. The quality from the sensor and the lenses are superb. Utterly out of this world. Unfortunately, the Leica is not suited to my work as a commercial photographer.

The Leica is superb, but its a slow camera. You have to take time to focus manually. It also takes longer to change lenses, because with some lenses you have to move an extra switch on the top-plate. Also, the shutter speed only gives you about 2fps.

Sometimes you need to focus very quickly, change lenses quickly, shoot at a high frame-rate, and sometimes use different flash modes - things which the Leica cannot do. This is not a fault of Leica, its because its a different kind of camera and I was probably a fool to think I could do all my photography on a Leica.

So, the camera system is going and - I'm going back to Fuji.  If I could afford to keep a Leica I would because nothing else can compete with the clarity and quality of the Leica image, but I have to be practical. Maybe one day...
