Going back to Napoli, and also visiting Amalfi and Caserta Palace
Many years ago I lived in Italy for 30 months. Since then I've always wanted to go back so one of the paces I just had to visit on this trip was Bella Napoli. After spending some time in northern Italy I meandered south to Napoli. I love all of Italy, but sometimes I think Northern Italy can be a bit too nice, whereas I do think that the middle bit of Italy is a bit more gritty. A bit more real. Also, fewer tourists...
Besides spending time in Napoli city itself, I also visited the Amalfi coast a few times and spent a wonderful day at Caserta palace. If you are ever in this part of the world - you must spend a day at Caserta Palace. Its brilliant. And if you are driving, there's a huge underground car park.
