Greece

The slow pace of life in Greece - its's addictive...

Greece is a superb place to visit overland. Besides the wonderful food, slow pace of life, welcoming people and the most amazing scenery, there's also so much sights and history to see and visit.
I entered Greece at the North-west border. First stopping at Ioannina for a few days, which is a nice town next to a huge lake. A few days later I headed south to Nicopolis - to visit the Roman ruins. After a few days I headed south again to Patras, and then further south to Olympia - where it all started...!
After a few days visiting the ruins and the local area I headed east and then north to Alkion, to spend a few days camping in the shade overlooking the sea. I could have stayed here for the rest of my life as it was so quiet and peaceful. After a few days it was time to move and make a big jump north, heading to northern Greece and a campsite near Mount Olympus. A few days later I headed north east again towards Alexandroupoli to spend a few days by the sea.
