North West Turkey

Visiting Turkey is to experience beautiful sights, superb food and the most welcoming of people. Entering Turkey in the north east, I headed to the Dardanelles.

I was heading for Klitbahir on the northern peninsula of the Dardanelles, where I was going to stay for a few days. I have an interest in WW1 and wanted to visit several museums, forts and war cemeteries from WW1. There is a lot to see and you really do need transport and a few days. Visiting the places that the landings took place, the trenches and the cemeteries is a moving experience, and I'm glad I visited.
