The Troy Ruins and Museum

After leaving the Dardanelles I headed south to Troy. Opposite the museum was a taverna with two slots for campers, which allowed me to stay for a few days as I wanted to see the ruins and the museum.
The museum is excellent, as besides giving you lots of information about the site of Troy, it also gives you a timeline for the local area and how it developed into the bronze age. The site of Troy itself is also interesting, but you need to have a vivid imagination to see how it was as very little remains except foundations. It still makes you feel humble to know that a whole ecosystem of life existed here so long ago.
